Who cares if he's the real father?

Article Abstract:

DNA paternity testing should be regarded as the basis of a society that genuinely values children, rather than as a potential danger to the stability of family life. Learning the truth can sometimes cause serious damage, but even greater damage can arise if the truth is concealed. The quality of family relationships and the honesty on which they are based are much more important than genetic ties. This is seen in successful stepfamilies.
