Why I took a knife to Gaultier

Article Abstract:

Fashion designer Robert Cary-Williams believes that he is a very destructive person. However, he feels that his creativity establishes a presence in the midst of his destructive urges. He feels that his spring/summer 2000 collection, which will be unveiled at London Fashion Week, is more finished and controlled than past collections. He regards his work as both ugly and beautiful, with a delicate effect resulting from the savagery with which it is created.

Short, sharp shock

Article Abstract:

Fashion designers are reviving the styles of the 1960s, including mini skirts and go-go boots. Many of the designs of the 1960s were intended to present a vision of the 21st century, so it is not surprising that designers are looking back now that the 21st century has arrived.
