Would you spend 100 pounds sterling on a new face?

Article Abstract:

Many working women find it difficult to determine exactly what make-up they should wear in the office. They are aware that make-up is important in giving them a professional image, but often find that staff on make-up counters in department stores are not very helpful. In these circumstances, it may be better to go to a bespoke make-up service, such as Cosmetics A La Carte in Knightsbridge, London, England. Here, a one-hour consultation costs 100 pounds sterling, and there is no charge for the make-up used.

The hidden meaning behind your mascara

Article Abstract:

Women are increasingly purchasing make-up that reflects their lifestyle, their image and their aspirations. They are particularly keen to wear mascara, which they feel makes them look more attractive and boosts their confidence. They are not attracted just by glossy packaging, and are interested to establish what exactly a product offers and whether it is appropriate to their lifestyle. They are increasingly looking for combined products offering high levels of convenience.

Making up may be hard to do, but it's worth it

Article Abstract:

It seems likely that women who wear a small amount of make-up are more likely to achieve career progression than women who wear no make-up at all. It is not necessary to spend a great deal of time or money on make-up, but it is vital to get the basics of make-up right. It may be worth considering seeking advice from assistants on cosmetic counters in large department stores, especially as some will offer a free make-up lesson.
