A decision support system for project portfolio selection

Article Abstract:

A for project portfolio selection framework is presented and it provides an organized approach to selecting a portfolio that meets organizational requirements. The framework consists of alternating strategy development and methodology selection techniques that allow adjustments to be made while the process is ongoing and flexibility in the selection of methodologies and criteria. Steps in the framework include pre-screening, individual project analysis, screening, optimal portfolio selection and portfolio adjustment.

The predictive potential of intellectual capital

Article Abstract:

A detailed intellectual capital auditing methodology is presented and is found to be effective in allowing companies to view themselves within the context of a specific goal and make adjustments to reach that goal. The effectiveness of the Intellectual Capital Method requires however, requires that the specific goal must be well defined and the study highlights the complex relationship between intangible assets.

Ensuring cost effectiveness in support of training

Article Abstract:

A technique of ensuring cost effective human resource training is presented and justified. The technique involves defining, developing and applying performance measures and making sure that the measures are reliable and valid. Training cost effectiveness may also be improved by aligning training and measurement objectives with organizational goals, performance objectives and assessments.
