Cultural psychiatry combines the principles of psychiatry with cultural observations to better treat people. The practice has been successfully used since the 1970s to treat mental illnesses in people who are not from Western cultures, as most methods are based on Western psychiatric models.

Electronic tags may be able to resolve the issue of baggage reconciliation since they can match each piece of luggage to a passenger. Major semiconductor companies and many smaller firms have developed their tags, where memory, a processor, a transmitter and a receiver reside on a microchip.
