A system of science and technology parks for the Rome area

Article Abstract:

A project hypothesis for the establishment of a network of Science and Technology Parks in Lazio, Italy, is investigated. The network would provide a strategic link between the firms, especially small-to-medium enterprises and the scientific base found in the Rome, Italy, area. An operation structure based on the network enterprise concept is proposed to help the business and science sectors achieve a good degree of symbiosis.

Real option's model to evaluate infrastructure flexibility: An application to photovoltaic technology

Article Abstract:

The high level of uncertainty characterizing the future market demand in many industrial sectors makes it necessary to use strategic investment evaluation models. By using the approach of real options a mathematical model is provided for choosing a strategic investment in the photovoltaic industry, allowing the management to handle the uncertainty of the demand.
