A new failure criterion for woven-roving fibrous composites subjected to tension-compression local plane stresses with different stress ratios

Article Abstract:

Thin-walled tubular specimens, made from woven-roving glass fiber-reinforced polyester (GFRP) with two fiber orientations, [plusmn 45 degree](sub 2s) and [0,90 degree](sub 2s) were tested under torsional fatigue test at negative stress ratios. The mean-amplitude diagram of the [0,90degree](sub 2s) specimens was found to be divided into two regions, which is discussed.

Optimum process design in sheet-metal forming with finite element analysis

Article Abstract:

Rigid-plastic finite element technique is used for process optimization in sheet-metal forming processes. It is inferenced that design of process parameters is well performed for decreasing the amount of strain to prevent fracture by tearing, or to increase the amount of strain for increasing the strength.

Stress-based springback reduction of a channel shaped auto-body part with high-strength steel using response surface methodology

Article Abstract:

A report on the analysis of an optimum design carried out showed that the process parameters decreased the stress deviation throughout the thickness of the sheet and reduced the springback action of the channel shaped part.
