A time to sequence

Article Abstract:

The next step in the Human Genome Project should be to begin work on large-scale human gene sequencing. Current maps are good enough to support this work, and sequencing technologies are converging into a dominant methodology. A tight focus is the best human genetic research policy.

Twins: en route to QTLs for cognition

Article Abstract:

A research study of twins found that the genetic portion of cognitive ability is 62% and that this value remains constant throughout life. The study used a multitime point, longitudinal strategy to identify quantitative trait loci.
