Accounting for the risks

Article Abstract:

Computer technology enables engineers to account for risks related to cost estimating and scheduling in construction management. Computer programs help engineers to assess the overall degree of risk for their projects, thereby facilitating the establishment of contingency plans. The engineers can also generate up to 1,000 critical path method schedules utilizing a given range of estimates. They can then develop a project risk matrix, which includes weather dependent activities and labor management concerns, to prepare for unexpected external obstructions.
