Noncovalent interactions between monoaromatic compounds and dissolved humic acids: a deuterium NMR T1 relaxation study

Article Abstract:

Natural organic matter (NOM) is studied in relation to the biodegradation of monoaromatic compounds in Suwannee River water, soil, and peat. Time to the relaxation of monoaromatic compounds is charted in the presence of NOM.

Characterization of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in motor vehicle fuels and exhaust emissions

Article Abstract:

Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are a prominent pollutant in motor vehicle emissions. To determine if fuel reformation is a viable approach for the problem, an improved understanding of the relationship between fuel composition and PAH emissions is necessary.
