Animating in 3-D

Article Abstract:

The Stereo Animation Drawing Device has enabled animators at Imax to draw cartoons freehand and in 3D. Animators wear the same glasses used in an Imax theater to view the images being drawn on a 9- by 12-foot screen. The device has been used to create the animated short 'Paint Misbehavin.'
