Annotated bond graphs - a communication tool

Article Abstract:

A new and extended format for bond graphs is presented. The format is well-suited for the documentation of dynamic system models. Is also makes bond graphs more understandable. Conventional bond graphs are designed to present a great amount of information in a concise manner. However, conventional bond graphs are often hard to understand, especially by untrained persons. The annotated format for bond graphs is intended to solve this problem.

Role of glycosaminoglycans in cellular communication

Article Abstract:

The role of glycosaminoglycans in cellular communication in multicellular organisms is discussed. The interaction of the extracellular matrix (ECM) components in multicellular organisms is highlighted and the structural and physical characteristics of the molecules responsible for the interaction with proteins important in cell-cell communication are examined.

A New Type of Hydrogen Bond

Article Abstract:

Researchers have discovered a new type of hydrogen bonding that allows metals and hydrides to form unusual hydrogen bonds. The dihydrogen bond involves a attractive interaction between two hydrogens that forms an X-H ... H-Y structure. Dihydrogen bonding can be intermolecular as well as intramolecular.
