Breaking the ice: the New Castle ice harbor

Article Abstract:

The New Castle ice harbor was built along the Delaware River in the 19th century to protect wooden ships from ice floes brought by the river current. The ice harbor was one of the first federally funded infrastructure projects and is considered a historical landmark.

The details of the construction of the Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah, by Salt Lake City based, Intermountain Health Care, are presented. The medical center is believed to sustain only limited damage in an earthquake.
