Catalytic ethylene dimerization and oligomerization: Recent developments with nickel complexes containing P, N-chelating ligands

Article Abstract:

Identifying and fine-tuning the parameters that influence the activity and selectivity of metal catalysis constitute major challenges at the interface between ligand design, coordination/organometallic chemistry and homogenous catalysis. The modulation of the coordinating properties of functional ligands for a metal such as nickel has a positive effect in catalytic ethylene oligomerization.

Aqueous RAFT polymerization: recent developments in synthesis of functional water-soluble (Co)polymers with controlled structures

Article Abstract:

Reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) polymerization is a free radical polymerization technique, which is discovered by researches at CSIRO in Australia. The RAFT process involves conventional free radical polymerization of a substituted monomer in the presence of a suitable chain transfer agent (CTA).

Construction of a chiral central nervous system (CNS)-active aminotetralin drug compound based on a synthesis strategy using multitasking properties of (S)-1-phenylethylamine

Article Abstract:

The design and development of a scalable synthesis for the drug molecule AR-A2 starting from the discovery route originating in medicinal chemistry are described. During the study, special emphasis is made on the introduction of the correct (R) stereochemistry on C2.
