Article Abstract:

The Washington Convention Center, in Washington D.C. displays an unique design and encompasses a vast interior space to enable hold large conferences and trade shows. It extends to six blocks consisting of three separate structures with two cross streets traversing the site east to west. The basic frame of the structure consists of continuous girder trusses between columns.
