Clean ride: As tight emission rules threaten the use of diesel powered vehicles

Article Abstract:

Vulture Ventures and Ecological Engine are two companies linked by their private investors and staff. Vulture Ventures was the winner of the 1995 world Class II offshore powerboat championships. Ecological Engine was formed to offer LPG conversions to individuals and fleet operators. It is turning its attention to London taxis whose diesel engines rarely obtain well regulated airflows and combustion temperatures in the city streets. The company has perfected a kit which enables the Nissan TD 2.71 engines used in the taxis, to be removed and an LPG system to be installed.
