Coastal ecology of the Bahamas

Article Abstract:

The aim of the project is to design better criteria for restoration projects, or sustainable resorts, that can mimic natural coastal communities. Dr. Kathleen Sullivan Sealey, Lester Flowers and his project team will use satellite photos to correlate coastal characteristics such as vegetation with corresponding changes in the nearshore marine environment.

Mangroves of the Kenyan coast

Article Abstract:

The project determines how species diversity influences the ecosystem dynamics of replanted mangrove forest. The research team conducted pioneer plantation experiments for the rehabilitation of degraded mangroves in Gazi Bay.
