Bahamian reef survey

Article Abstract:

The project aims to measure changes to understand the coral reef environment and the causes of bleaching and coral diseases. John Rollino, Dr Garriet Smith, Thomas McGrath and his project team will monitor corals in tide pools, apparently thriving in conditions of extreme temperature and salinity, to understand the limits of their environmental tolerance.

Jamaica's coral reefs

Article Abstract:

The project aims to establish models of coral reef recruitment and growth to predict their response to future environmental change. Dr. James Crabbe and his project team will identify 11 species of large coral while underwater, as well as many other colorful coral reef denizens, and to measure and film them along transects and in quadrats.
