Macaws of the Peruvian Amazon

Article Abstract:

The project aims to mitigate the impacts of ecotourism and ensure the long-term conservation of macaws and their habitats. Dr. Donald Brightsmith and his project team will work in a quintessential rainforest, with towering, 50-meter-tall trees, lianas, and epiphytes to monitor scarlet, blue and gold, and red and green macaws at clay licks and observe their reactions to visiting tourists.
