Collection efficiency and capacity of three samplers for acidic and basic gases

Article Abstract:

A silica gel tube, impinger, and a coated porous metal disk are used to measure the presence of nitric acid, hydrogen chloride, and hydrogen fluoride. A comparison of measuring capabilities for each method is graphed for collection efficiency.

Release of hydrogen chloride from combustibles in municipal solid waste

Article Abstract:

A study at the Chinese Academy of Science sorted municipal solid waste into six groups, each of which was analyzed for its hydrogen chloride content when burned. Food was found to be the highest group, but combusted wood and textiles also showed significant release of HCI.
