Down in the depths

Article Abstract:

Consultants at Goodwin Emck suggests that the success of design projects depends much on effective project management. The consultants have developed a co-ordinated cable management system with applicability to all deep tube stations throughout London states. The designing of the project required information from several departments, as the design involved the integration of all the services and hardwares. The company took recourse to the designing of flexible solutions to prepare the final drawing of the project. The project's efficient management has finally earned success for Emck.

A change of mindset

Article Abstract:

Senior managers in manufacturing companies need to realize the growing importance of 3D computer aided design and computer aided manufacturing technologies in product development. This means learning to cope with the absence of 2D drawings in the product development process and becoming aware of the need to replace traditional departmental processes with cross-functional teams made up of customers, consultants and subcontractors.
