Ecology and political upheaval

Article Abstract:

Studies that have shown that even small changes in climate could cause wars, topple government and crush economies already strained by poverty, corruption and ethnic conflict are discussed. The analysis from these studies would help recognize the ecological risks to the economic well-being and even to the national security, and look harder for practical approaches to mitigating the pressures that the global society is placing on the earth's ecosystems.
