Issues are presented concerning the measures which are being taken in Southeast Asia to prevent the use of cyanide fishing by the marine aquarium trade. The destruction of coral reefs by this form of fishing is discussed.

Article Abstract:

The examination of shrimp genes, in the Indonesian area, has led to the discovery that the shrimp with similar genetic signatures tend to live together. This discovery may help in coral reef repopulation efforts.
