Article Abstract:
The Home/Grand Canal Flood Control project is expected to pave the way for community acceptance of a flood control project. The Flood Control District of Maricopa County, concluded that a 4.5 mi long drainage facility will be built along the irrigation canal to convey storm water to the New River, providing an outlet for existing and future storm drain systems, protecting thousands of homes and businesses.
