Getting there

Article Abstract:

Fully integrated automobile navigation systems that ease driving have been developed. Examples of these in-car navigation systems are the Carin system from Philips and the TravelPilot from Blaupunkt of Germany. Both systems utilize Global Positioning System technology to select the ideal route to the chosen destination. The driver is then aided by aural and graphical instructions that appear on a Liquid Display Crystal screen.
