Article Abstract:

This article illustrates the new City Hall, at More London, which is distinct and exhibits energy-efficient design. It is shaped in the form of an immense tilted egg and the single-story structure encompases approximately 3,700 square meters and is 45 meter high. The structure consists of a large atrium space above the assembly chamber.

Corps recommends increasing depth of Columbia River to improve navigation

Issues discussed concern plans by the US Army Corps of Engineers to dredge and deepen a channel on the Columbia and Willamette rivers to improve ship navigation and increase trade. The logistics of the plan are detailed, and include cost estimates and engineering issues.

Corps releases contentious plan to control Missouri river

Missouri River Master Water Control Manual is a set of guidelines outlined to manage the flow of the longest waterway in the U.S., the Missouri river. The U.S. Army Corps of engineers has revised this manual and further plans to control the river effectively.
