Health and nutrition in Botswana

Article Abstract:

The first nationwide public health survey conducted in Botswana by Dr. Leapetswe Malete, Dr. Jose Jackson and colleagues at the university of Botswana to avert the crisis of poor nutrition and other risky factors that could cause chronic disease in the villages of Botswana. This survey will be instrumental in making public health policy changes in Botswana in accordance with a global strategy proposed by the World Health Organization.

Maternal and child healthcare in India

Article Abstract:

The project aims to improve the health of adolescent girls and pregnant and nursing women in India using nutrition education. NGO Nalamdana cofounded by Nithya Balaji and his project team worked to determine what misconceptions about nutrition and social worth threaten the health and growth of children, both inside and outside of the womb.

Public health in transition

Article Abstract:

Health disparities between rich and poor are widening and a deadly pandemic, an act of bioterrorism or an environmental calamity could precipitate crisis. The pockets of disparity can be eradicated by concentrated effort and multilateral collaboration by providing basic health care to the needy.
