High tidings: ancient, erratic changes in sea level suggest a coming swell

Article Abstract:

Geologic evidence from the Bahama Islands suggest that sea level fluctuated dramatically towards the end of the last interglacial period. Scientists believe this erratic behavior may occur again, considering the many similarities between the last interglacial and today's climate.

Flying in the face of tradition

Article Abstract:

Ornithologist Alan Feduccia has proposed that birds evolved in a manner analogous to mammalian evolution. In addition, Feduccia believes that modern bird species evolved in a mere 5-10 million years and not 150 million as postulated by many scholars.

The coming climate

Global warming will have a significant impact on the human population, agriculture and ecosystem. Scientists predict an increase in precipitation at higher altitudes while regions at lower altitudes will have less precipitation.
