Evolutionary knowledge management: A case of system development within the manufacturing industry

Article Abstract:

The current practices in developing management systems are evaluated and the evidence obtained within a particular manufacturing organization, which produces components for the electronics industry, is related. The Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) knowledge is being shared with some external manufacturing companies, which are not in direct competition due to their geographical locations or target markets.

E-commerce: The emergence of a field and its knowledge network

Bibliometric epistemology is used to suggest that a number of publications have played catalytic roles in the formation of a knowledge network that underlines the rapidly developing field of economic commerce (e-commerce). The most highly cited e-commerce documents, highly cited researchers, their respective fields, topics and the publication, media that disseminated their works are presented.

The intranet: A platform for knowledge management system based on knowledge mapping

A discussion based on a literature review and a case study on the sustainability of using an intranet as a platform to implement Knowledge Management System (KMS), is presented. A description of Knowledge Management (KM) and the current research carried out in this area is presented with examples of web-based KMS systems implemented in organizations.
