How high-speed trains make tracks: in Europe and Japan, train manufacturers are gearing up to achieve ultrafast speeds routinely, without relying on levitation

Article Abstract:

The design considerations in the manufacture and operation of high-speed trains is presented. Many of these trains have highly reinforced suspension systems to ensure a smooth ride for passengers as well as reduce the effects of vibrations on the tracks. The design of the bodies also have to take into account the pressure wave formations to reduce passenger discomfort.
