Kenneth H. Taves, his wife and their associates are facing a lawsuit after the FTC discovered that they were charging users of adult Web sites for services that did not exist. They formed companies to process Visa charges for adult Web sites and were using a simple computer program for their illegal activities.

Physicists at the Oak Ridge National Laboratories have reportedly constructed a minute mechanical devices out of diamond thin films. Machines made with such components would be sturdier than motors and sensors utilizing conventional silicon materials.
