Magnetoresistance in layered manganite compounds

Article Abstract:

Research on interplane tunneling magnetoresistance in layered manganite crystals is the latest step in the investigation of magnetoresistance. The phenomenon of spin-polarized tunneling is the key to the behavior of layered manganite compounds.

Charge ordering in manganates

Article Abstract:

Recent research of the charge ordering of the manganates Mn+ and Mn4+ has revealed new information about charge and spin dynamics, which could lead to new directions of research. Features of the charge-ordered manganate systems are discussed.

Giant magnetoresistance in transition metal oxides

Article Abstract:

Common features of giant magnetoresistance (GMR) transition metal oxides in the perovskite manganates are discussed. The features can be used to inform future efforts to design or discover new GMR materials.
