Managing the product development process - (part II: case studies)

Article Abstract:

Several benefits have been identified with the use of stage/gate methodologies in new product development programs, although the use of a structured development process is not a guarantee of new product success. One such methodology is PACE (Product and Cycle-Time Excellence), which has been found to be an effective way of developing products that are superior and with fewer defects. Product development time is reduced, thus the product reaches the market earlier.
