Measurements of methane emissions from landfills using a time correlation tracer method based on FTIR absorption spectroscopy

Article Abstract:

A measurement strategy for landfill ethane emissions is presented. Tested at a landfill in southerrn Sweden, the strategy is based on a tracer gas released at the sight and is combined with time-resolved concentration measurements taken downwind. Accompanying graphs and charts provide additional statistical information.

Flame retardants in indoor air at an electronics recycling plant and at other work environments

Article Abstract:

This study, conducted by the Departments of Environmental Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry, Stockholm University, and Stena-Technoworld AB of Sweden, measures the levels of brominated hydrocarbon and phosphate ester flame retardants in both indoor and outdoor air samples from a variety of environments that involve computers and other electronics equipment.
