Rewarding work

Article Abstract:

Engineering remains a popular desired profession among young people in the UK, according to the 1997 'Graduate Careers' survey from High Fliers Research. This is the case for both graduates and those seeking employment without undertaking further study. Graduates expect an average starting salary of 16,100 pounds sterling, rising to 29,500 pounds sterling within five years. Many electrical and electronic engineering firms are finding it hard to recruit suitable employees, especially those with information technology skills.
