Monitoring and controlling debris in space

Article Abstract:

Space debris is a hazard to satellites and other orbiting machines that there is a need to control them. Shields may protect orbiting satellites from small debris but the larger ones cannot be controlled by shields. There have been proposals to clean them vacuums of some sort are being studied.

Controlling computers with neural signals

Article Abstract:

The electrical functioning of the central nervous system in humans can be harnessed to communicate with computers. This is especially useful to those with physical disabilities. The biomuse system translates biological impulses into signals that can be detected by a computer.

Unjamming traffic with computers: insights gleaned from realistic simulations are already moving from computer screens to asphalt

Article Abstract:

Simulation models employing the cellular automata approach are fast becoming the norm in traffic management. Advances in computers and simulators are enabling traffic managers with real-time analysis of traffic conditions to better manage congestions in urban road systems.
