The Mother's Worm Blanket is a mathematical problem to determine the smallest region needed to cover a curve that is one unit in length. David Reynolds submitted a formula that yields a universal area of 0.239. The formula does not provide a clear solution for the problem.

Techniques in factorizing a large number is presented, prominent of which is the 'sieve' method and its improvements. Among the sieve methods discussed are the quadratic sieve, the sieve of Eratosthenes, the improved Fermat method and the number field sieve.
