Multivalve wars

Article Abstract:

Both Ford Motor Co and General Motors Crop are introducing new all-aluminum 32-valve V-8 engines in the fall of 1992. The engines will be used in the Lincoln Mark VIII and in Cadillac Allante, Eldorado and Seville. The Ford engine will produce 33% more horsepower than the 1991 'modular' V-8.

A vehicle for change

Chrysler Corp will be introducing three dramatically-changed cars in the fall of 1992. The Dodge Intrepid, Eagle Vision and Chrysler Concorde represent the first basic platform change at the company in 12 years. Details on the new cars, and on Chrysler's plans are discussed.

Minivans: retouching a masterpiece
