Article Abstract:

Dr. Laurie Marker, who started the Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF) in 1990, is collecting essential data on cheetah behavior and ecology and working with Namibia's farmers to change attitudes towards cheetahs. This will help to protect cheetah form getting exploited by the farmers who view them as pests.

Samburu: communities and wildlife habitat

Article Abstract:

The project compares crucial wildlife habitats both within and outside protected areas to improve conservation efforts. The project team conducts field surveys of wildlife and vegetation and map findings to augment satellite images, measuring percent cover and height of grasses, shrubs, and trees.
