Nanoscale Borromean rings

Article Abstract:

A survey of the possible retrosynthetic disconnections is presented and the state of the art in terms of the applications of the pathways toward the ultimate goal, the synthesis of molecular Borromean rings are discussed. The Borromean rings symbol comprises three interlocked rings in an inseparable union and this account delineates different strategies that can be applied to the formation of molecules possessing this distinctive topology.

Allylsilanes and vinylsilanes from silylcupration of carbon-carbon multiple bonds: Scope and synthetic applications

Article Abstract:

The silylcupration of multiple bonds has become one of the most efficient procedures for the synthesis of vinyl- and allylsilanes. These substrates are useful building blocks in organic systhesis since they undergo a great variety of silicon-assisted transformations.
