Organizational rewards for a changing workplace: an examination of theory and practice

Article Abstract:

An evaluation of effective compensation system characteristics reveals that common features include aligning rewards with organizational strategy, compensation systems satisfying organizational goals, linking pay with performance, top management supporting changes and continuous evaluation. Innovative pay systems currently employed include individual incentive plans, small group incentives, gainsharing incentives, profit sharing, pay for knowledge plans and all salaried workforce.

Applying fuzzy analytic hierarchy process in the managerial talent assessment model - an empirical study in Taiwan's semiconductor industry

Article Abstract:

A new managerial talent assessment model for the assessors of the IC packaging industry in Taiwan is established and the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) method is used to evaluate and manage relevant managerial competence activities. The effectiveness of the FAHP in the managerial talent assessment model is examined to improve the quality of the multi-criteria decision making, and to be referred to further managerial talent-related activities.

Integrating business-process with human-resource development for continuous improvement

Article Abstract:

The effectiveness of business-processes re-engineering (BPR) in the global market can be enhanced if it will be integrated with the human resource development (HRD). BPR reconstructs organizational workflow and information management for an efficient process structure. HRD, on the other hand, sets a quality-working-life environment and stimulates employees' involvement by giving them training modules and planning tasks.
