Privatization: a cure for our ailing infrastructure?

Article Abstract:

Privatization is an effective way of providing necessary services, generally provided by the government, and overcoming the problem of shrinking federal, state and local budgets and ailing infrastructure. The government should play the role of a prudent purchaser and a manager of the services offered by the private sector. Privatization faces resistance from the public as they fear an elimination of their services. It is essential to inform people that privatization aims at creating a market-driven partnership for the betterment of the taxpayers in the U.S..

Financing infrastructure interest-free

Article Abstract:

The proposed legislation submitted by the nonprofit group 'Sovereignty' titled State and Local Government Empowerment Act was developed to solve the financing problems for the infrastructure system of the US. New money created every year will be distributed to various local government levels for construction purposes. The move was spurred by the findings of other nonprofit groups regarding the need to revive the country's infrastructure system.
