Putting a spin on parasites

Article Abstract:

Scientists are using the electrorotation assay to determine the viability of parasites such as Cryptosporidium. Researchers add microscopic antibody-coated beads that bind to oocysts to the concentrated particulates. The rotating field allows the spinning oocysts to be recorded.
