Getting the beat right

Article Abstract:

The use of the supercomputers' tremendous processing capabilities has yielded models which can be used to observe the physical, chemical and electrical behavior of the heart. These models allow the simulation of the reaction of the heart with regard to the physiological effects of drugs and other related treatments. Such simulations of the behavior of the heart towards medication may help in minimizing the detrimental effects of heart diseases.
