Reactions and Applications of titanium imido complexes

Article Abstract:

The reactions and applications of titanium imido complexes are highlighted and the advances in this area are reviewed. Ti=NR linkage is shown to couple stoichiometrically with a variety of unsaturated substrates where the choice of imido N substituent is critical and a significant difference in reactivity between alkyl- and aryl- imides is observed.

Chemistry of metal thio- and selenocarboxylates: Precursors for metal sulfide/selenide materials, thin films, and nanocrystals

Article Abstract:

The synthetic routes are developed for a wide variety of thermally stable metal thiocarboxylates and selenocarboxylates. The potential use of some of these compounds as single-source precursors for making metal sulfide and selenide bulk materials, thin films and nanoparticles are described.

Polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane nanocomposites: The next generation material for biomedical applications

Article Abstract:

The properties of nanocomposites, which are creating the revolution in material science, are studied. It is analyzed that the new generation of silica nanocomposites, polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanes, a nanoscale silica particle is used in cardiovascular devices with a particular use.
