Singapore's observation wheel tops London Eye

The Singapore Flyer is the tallest observation wheel in the world at 165 meters, beating the London Eye by 30 meters. The structure, which is also lighter and thinner than its London counterpart, offers views of downtown Singapore and even Malaysia and Indonesia.

The longest concrete b ox girder span in the United States is now under construction in in Kanawha County, West Virginia. The span will be 760 ft long and is wide enough not to obstruct navigation on the Kanawha River which is regularly plied by coal barges.
