Yale Museum renovation restores architect's original vision

Article Abstract:

The Kahn Building which graces the campus of Yale University, in New Haven, Connecticut is home to the school's renowned art gallery and years of modifications have altered the appearance of the modernist structure designed by the prominent 20th-century architect Louis I. Kahn. Efforts made to restore the museum and upgrade the facility to a building that will be on a par with its world-class collection are presented.

Portland tram in final design stages

Article Abstract:

Portland's leaders proposed an aerial tram system to serve the Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) and the city's rapidly developing South Waterfront (SoWa) district. This new transportation system is in the final stages of design development including three towers: one at the OHSU hospital, one in the heart of the SoWa district, and one approximately halfway between the two.

Engineers relocate historically important submarine

Article Abstract:

The rescue from destruction by U.S. Navy personnel, who boarded the floundering vessel on June 4, 1944, is treasured by the Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry's is presented. A rescue mission performed by the museum to spare the historically important, 252 feet long vessel further climate-induced damage by moving it underground is discussed.
