Smarter use of nuclear waste

A study reveals that despite public concern about nuclear energy, more people are realizing it might be the most environmentally friendly way to generate large amounts of electricity. If developed in a proper way nuclear power is sustainable and inexhaustible and can operate without causing any climate changes.

Eliminating nuclear warheads

Article Abstract:

Innovations in both politics and technology are necessary before over 50,000 nuclear weapons can be decommissioned between 1993 and 2003. Outside monitoring of the disposal of nuclear warheads could increase global confidence in the arms-reduction process.

Disposing of nuclear waste

Article Abstract:

A substantial amount of radioactive waste is generated by nuclear reactors every year. The disposal of such waste is a big problem in view of their dangerous nature. A brief overview of the most promising disposal methods is presented.
