Sticking with the Web

Article Abstract:

The World Wide Web has emerged as a new method of communication and engineers have started developing new sites on the network. Companies use the Internet to advertise and market their products, obtain information about business opportunities and rivals, and access human resources. Small firms with limited budgets can project themselves at the same level as the large firms using a well designed site. The Internet provides access to research data, even to medium size firms, and helps in the transfer of technology. Intranets, used for communication within a company, have emerged as a new trend.
