The know-how game

Article Abstract:

Installing a knowledge management system is one way for companies to cope with rapid technology changes, abating product life cycles, increasing market competitiveness and a highly mobile workforce. Through this, expertise is identified and shared in all levels of the corporate organization that leads to improved performance, greater innovation and larger market share. Furthermore, knowledge management systems save the know-how contributed by valuable individuals who already have left the company.

However the Ministry of Food and Fisheries (MAFF) is encouraging innovation and recent advances have been made in fast manufacture, vision systems, robotics and online scheduling.
